Our head office is based in Brentwood, Essex and with offices in London and Warrington we employ around 850 people.  We have an annual turnover in excess of £500 million.

Established 50 years ago

Founded in 1958, the Company was de-listed from the London Stock Exchange in 2005 when we were jointly acquired by the Cherry family and Bank of Scotland.  As a privately owned PLC, we have been able to make considerable progress in recent years.

We are widely recognised as a responsible developer which is committed to implementing the principles of sustainable development throughout our business. We believe that being a good corporate citizen benefits all our stakeholders, including our customers.

"It is highly instructive and positive to note how the big developers are doing their bit to promote sustainable communities and urban regeneration as key economic, social and environmental drivers. It is one thing talking about it, another doing it – but Countryside does it big time."
