Mark Crossland and partner Clare Hingham

With an eye for pioneering architecture, design engineer Mark Crossland wasn’t even looking for a new house when he was instantly seduced by the innovative layout of the homes at Oakwood Reach.

His heart suddenly set on owning a property at the Stalybridge development, Mark and partner Clare Hingham snatched one up, fearing if they hesitated they may lose out.

New homes at Oakwood Reach, Cheshire

Mark and Clare had faint notions that they would one day move to a bigger property with a view to starting a family, but were content in their two bedroom apartment. Only when they found Oakwood Reach did their plans take a substantial turn - wooed by the diverse layout of the development, Mark decided it was too good to miss and took the plunge the very same day.

Boasting a deceptively spacious layout complemented by contemporary interior design, the couple chose a link detached three bedroom house with French windows backing onto a spacious garden framed by the passing brook.

"Clare and I had no intention of buying anywhere but our curiosity led us to this new development. We sat down and looked at the plans and I was astounded. I have never seen a property layout quite like it. The plot we chose is one of a kind and for such a reasonable asking price we knew then that we had to sign up or we would miss our chance.
