Local Area Information

Situated in Gorton, East Manchester, Jubilee Works is located in an established residential area. The reformation of 'New East Manchester' is well underway involving large scale regeneration and the area has benefited from a large injection of funding in a long-term programme to rejuvenate the local area.

The proposed development is situated within 2 miles of central Manchester. The A57 Mancunian Way, M602 and M60 motorways are within easy reach, circumnavigating Greater Manchester and providing access to other major conurbations in the North West.

The nearest rail station is at Gorton, just 200 yards from Jubilee Works, providing regular services into Manchester Piccadilly. For national route,s including direct access to Manchester Airport, Piccadilly Station itself is around 2 mile from the site.

In addition to rail there are proposals to continue the Manchester Metrolink from Piccadilly into Ashton Under Lyne, with the nearest stop on Ashton New Road, within ¾ mile of the site.

Manchester Airport is around 20 minutes drive away. The Airport can be reached via the M60 or M56 Motorway. The airport can also be reached via train and bus. There are direct services from central Manchester.

Local amenities include convenience stores, newsagents, off licences and take away restaurants. Super markets are well provided for, the nearest being Kwik Save within half a mile on Garratt Way, or alternatively Asda on Ashton New Road.  The large Asda Walmart can also be found at Sportcity, on Alan Turning Way, just over a mile away.

The nearest doctor's surgery is around 400 yards away on Capital Road, whilst the nearest dentist is 200 yards away on Chapman Street. Pharmacists can be found within 400 yards of the site.

Manchester city centre, within 2 miles of the site, offers a full range of high street brands and world class shopping and entertainment facilities.
