St. Mary’s Island is a 150 acre residential development that forms part of the 350 acre Chatham Maritime regeneration project.

Transport

St Mary's Island at Chatham Maritime has excellent transport links by road, rail, air and boat. The nearby A289 connects to the A2 for links to the M2 and M25 for travel throughout the South East. There are frequent train services from London Victoria to Chatham with a journey time of approximately 45 minutes*.

There are also direct services to St Pancras, London Bridge, Waterloo and Charing Cross. Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton are within easy reach via the M2/M25. There is currently a private airport at Rochester and helicopter landing facilities are available within the Chatham Historic Dockyard. Also the River Thames can be navigated from Basin No.1 via the River Medway.

Schools

The Island has its own primary school, secondary schools and colleges are available in the Chatham area. Chatham Grammar School for Girls and Chatham Grammar School for Boys are both located only a few miles from the Island, together with the Sir Joseph Williamson Mathematical School in nearby Rochester. The world's oldest choir school, Kings School, is also located in Rochester.
