Leading developer, Countryside Properties has received planning permission from Wigan MBC for 44 high quality homes in the picturesque village of Lowton, near Wigan. ‘Byrom Place’ will be a major new residential development of stunning three and four bedroom homes and 3 properties have already been reserved off-plan, indicating strong future demand.

Countryside Properties will now create their first residential development in the Wigan area on two sites less than half a mile apart in Lowton and Golborne which has seen a major surge in popularity as a residential address over the past few years.

The development on both sites will be of houses designed to complement the local architecture and using traditional construction materials in keeping with the character of Lowton village.

The homes will feature stylish interiors and many will benefit from contemporary kitchens with stainless steel appliances and branded appliances, en-suite bathrooms and French doors leading from a spacious lounge to the rear garden.

The smaller of the two sites has frontage on to Golborne Road and lies opposite to the Grade II Listed St Luke’s church. The Ram’s Head public house currently forms part of the site and residential development is planned around this. There are two local schools and a range of shopping facilities close by. Both sites will feature two cul-de-sacs.

The larger site is located on Lowton Road and also offers a range of 3 and 4 bedroom homes in an existing residential area.

Martin Leggett, Regional Sales Director of Countryside Properties believes that Byrom Place has all the ingredients for success:
“Developing a scheme over two distinct sites has been challenging and exciting. As a result we believe that we will be creating homes that will sit comfortably within this village context but that are modern and highly functional internally. They will also provide new opportunities for people already living in Lowton who need larger homes and many newcomers who wish to purchase properties with character in a village location.

“We have always been confident in this location and are encouraged by the early reservations already made.  It offers a village lifestyle with all the benefits of belonging to a great local community, as well as offering easy access to the work hubs of Warrington, Liverpool and Manchester via the A580 East Lancs Road which is just a mile away, and from Junction 23 the M6 is only three miles away.

“It is the best of both worlds for families and young professionals.”
