DOMESTIC BLISS AT CARRINGTON PARK

Countryside Properties’ exciting new urban quarter, Carrington Park off Battersby Lane, Warrington, is undoubtedly an attractive residential proposition.  For one local woman, it proved just too tempting to resist, settling a long-simmering debate with her husband.

Lorraine Sharman, her husband Dave and teenage daughter Nicole, had lived in their previous house in Orford for 18 years, and Dave had begun to yearn for a larger home in a new area.  However, Lorraine resisted his attempts to persuade her to move, preferring to stay put and avoid the process of relocating.

Said Lorraine:  “Dave and I both have busy jobs in the financial sector, and time is precious.  For a long time I was happy to remain in Orford and spend my evenings and weekends enjoying life there.  That is, until Dave cajoled me into visiting Carrington Park.

“I looked at the show home and I had a think, and realised that actually, this could be one move that really was worth making.  The development itself was going to be lovely, very smart and very green, and the four bedroom semi we had in mind was just beautiful.

“Carrington Park is close to where we both work, so we wouldn’t have to spend much time commuting, and to be frank, we found the properties very reasonably priced.”

Of the move itself, Lorraine added:  “I really needn’t have been concerned about the process of moving.  The Countryside team has provided us with a good service throughout, making the whole experience quite straightforward.”

Created on the former site of the Carrington Wire factory, Carrington Park features a low-rise one and two bedroom apartment complex, as well as traditional style four bedroom townhouses and four bedroom semi-detached and detached houses.

A tree-lined boulevard passes from Battersby Lane to a large communal garden, and the development also includes a children’s play area.

The surrounding area is undergoing a £6.5 million revitalisation by Countryside Properties, placing Carrington Park in an attractive urban context.  A mixed-use development, it also features a small business park for light industrial premises.

Carrington Park is situated just a quarter of a mile from Warrington town centre, is close to four large supermarkets and a retail park, and Victoria Park is nearby.  Five schools are located within half a mile of the site.  It is under half a mile away from two railway stations and less than three miles away from the M6 and M62 motorways.
