Ridgemont, off Frith Lane, is being built by Countryside Properties, with 96 flats and 26 four-bedroom town houses on former Ministry of Defence land. Mark and Naoko Wong will move there in spring 2010 when the two-bedroom flat they bought off-plan earlier this year is ready. The couple live in Haringey and have an 18-month daughter Kaitlyn.

plus decent Tube and train links. We intend putting down roots and will trade up when the time is right.”
Mark and his partner are first-time buyers. They paid £250,000 for their 800sq ft flat. “The developer paid the stamp duty and gave us £1,000 towards legal fees.”
Prices start at £215,000. Houses will be available from next spring.
