This is a particularly sensitive site set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Following exchange of the Option Agreement we promoted the site through the Local Plan using our renowned landscape-led approach to meet the sensitive dynamics of the site and the local planning situation.
Working closely with Tunbridge Wells Borough Council’s Planning, Design and Landscape Officers throughout the process, we were successful in securing a planning consent for residential development comprising 62 new homes. This was a landmark decision given the importance that AONB status has in National Planning Policy and being the first significant release in Tunbridge Wells Borough for over 20 years.
