ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Countryside Properties PLC recognises the importance of providing a website that is accessible to all user groups, including the disabled. We want everyone who visits the Countryside Properties website to find the experience rewarding. This page states our intention that our website is usable and accessible to all users, and describes some of the measures taken.

Let us know what you think

We have worked hard on the Countryside Properties website and we hope you enjoy using it, but if you have any questions or feedback regarding the accessibility of this site, or if you experience any difficulty using it, please get in touch. We'd like to hear from you in any of the following ways:

What we are doing

To help us make the Countryside Properties website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). Our objective is for all pages to conform to Level A requirements, with many Level AA and Level AAA requirements also met.

How we are doing it

Alternative text

Non-decorative images on this site are accompanied by a text alternative which identifies the image or its function.

Links

Text links are written so that they make sense when read out of context.

Colour scheme

Information displayed on this website does not rely on colour alone.

Text resizing

The modern browsers we support (Firefox 3.6 and later, Internet Explorer 7 and later, Chrome (9 and later) and Safari 4.x and later) feature in-built accessibility tools, including zoom and text-resizing.

You can change the text size or adjust the page zoom in your browser by following these instructions:

  • PC / Internet Explorer 7: From the menu bar underneath the search field, select Page and point to Text size
  • PC / other browsers: Increase page zoom: Hold down the CTRL key and press + Decrease page zoom: Hold down the CTRL key and press -
  • Mac / all browsers: Increase page zoom: Hold down the Command key and press + Decrease page zoom: Hold down the Command key and press -

For older versions of these browsers, or for different browsers, the user experience might be diminished.

JavaScript

The user experience might be diminished where JavaScript is required for some of the interactive elements.

PDF

We recommend that users download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat to view Adobe PDF files. Please note some of our older archived Adobe PDF files may not be completely accessible when using screen readers.

Structured, semantic mark-up

This site uses style sheets (CSS) to separate content from presentation. If your browser does not support style sheets, the use of structured semantic mark-up ensures that the content of each page is still readable and clearly structured.
