The awards are judged by a panel of property experts, from architects to property writers. Now in their 32nd year, the What House? Awards are the Oscars of the housebuilding industry, rewarding the very best achievements from Britain's housebuilders. This year was an outperforming success, with comedian Dave Spikey presenting the awards to a captivating audience of 1500 attendees.
The What House? Awards judges commented: “Countryside had a massive head start in terms of dream locations when it partnered with the National Trust, owner of the 376-acre Buckinghamshire estate, bequeathed to the Trust in 1943 by the Astor family. But it's been a true partnership, with the National Trust, as the country's biggest conservation body, having to ensure it worked with a sympathetic housebuilder that could deliver a sustainable vision in a historic landscape, while providing new homes and creating a new community.”
