Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), the UK’s leading sight loss charity and leading residential property developer Countryside are delighted to have received the BBC/RHS People's Choice Award in the Fresh Garden category following their earlier accolades of Gold Medal and the award for Best Fresh Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

The Alan Cherry Award for Placemaking 2014 has been awarded to Jonathan Speed, former Director of Barking Riverside. The award was presented last Friday at the annual housing debate by Brentwood based house builder Countryside, held to honour the late founder of the company Alan Cherry CBE DL.

On Tuesday 20 May, 44 pupils from Fawcett Primary School in Cambridge helped developers Countryside plant the first seeds of over 1.1million poppies, which will be spread over 5,000m2 in the new country park at Great Kneighton, to officially commemorate 100 years since the start of the First World War.
