Countryside has appointed Iain McPherson as a new regional Managing Director to drive the expansion of the company’s housebuilding activities in Kent, Sussex and Surrey.

New Regional MD appointed

Iain McPherson joins Countryside from Crest Nicholson where he was Managing Director of their southern operations and prior to that, Land Director of the eastern subsidiary.

The appointment comes as part of Countryside’s growth strategy focused on expansion across all operational areas. Scaling up its presence in the southern counties is a key part of that strategy.

Graham Cherry, Chief Executive of Countryside, commented: “We are very pleased to welcome Iain to Countryside at what is a very exciting phase of growth for the company. We have built a strong land position in Kent, Sussex and Surrey to complement our existing schemes in the region, so we are in a great position to expand.”

Iain McPherson said: “This is an exciting time to join the Countryside team and I am keen to help drive the future of the business. I have in-depth knowledge of the southern counties where there is a strong market for doing what Countryside is renowned for - creating new homes and neighbourhoods of lasting quality.”

Earlier this year Countryside announced its merger with premium housebuilder Millgate, allowing it to expand its geographic reach and product offering in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey and Oxfordshire.
