One of the best things about Christmas has to be indulging in all of the delicious food! No matter how many people are gathered around your table, there’s no harm in adding a magic touch with some beautiful homemade decorations! Below are three simple, alternative dining table decoration ideas you can try out to impress your guests this festive season.

Wooden Box
A wooden box filled with nicely arranged ornaments, or anything that sparkles, is an easy way to create an eye catching centre piece on your table this Christmas! Tinsel can be used to pad out the box and ensure that the items stay in place when moved. You could personalise the outside of the box by writing your own message. Why not try ‘Merry Christmas From Us’ and have each family member sign their own name?

Jars
There are many ways in which you can use glass jars to create a festive table setting. You can choose your jars either online or reuse empty food jars from home. Choose a jar size that will be suitable to your table, as you don’t want anything too overwhelming. You can fill your jars with an array of accessories: electric fairy lights – with or without tinsel, baubles, Christmas candies and more. Try decorating a glass jar with the little ones – there are lots of fun and creative things they can try, like adding accessories to the lid to look like reindeer antlers!

Name Place Cards
For people that have lots of family coming over to celebrate the big day, creating your own name place cards is a lovely personal touch to the table.  You could either choose a colour scheme for the whole table or create an individually styled card for each person that shows their personality!
