Since the launch of the Government’s Help to Buy scheme in 2013, over 150,000 people, 80% of whom have been first time buyers, have achieved their aspiration of home ownership* and ever since the introduction of London Help to Buy earlier this year there has been a step change in demand for the scheme in the capital.

Hop on the Housing Ladder at St Paul’s Square

Offering a great opportunity to hop on the housing ladder with London Help to Buy, in one of the capital’s liveliest areas, Countryside has recently launched Le Mare Terrace, the new phase of apartments at St Paul’s Square in Bow, E3.

Le Mare Terrace will comprise a selection of 32 one, two, three and four bedroom stylish apartments with balconies or terraces. Enabling Londoners to join the UK’s band of homeowners, first time buyers at St Paul’s Square’s Le Mare Terrace will enjoy a close proximity to Canary Wharf, excellent transport connections and also the nearby open green spaces of Mile End Park and Victoria Park that this vibrant location has to offer.

The London Help to Buy scheme allows buyers to purchase with as little as a 5% deposit for up to 55% of the value of the home. The Government will then provide an equity loan of up to 40% of the property’s value, which is interest free for the first five years.

Andrew Loveday, Sales Director at Countryside commented: “The Help to Buy scheme has helped a vast amount of people fulfil their ambitions of jumping on the housing ladder and this was evident when selling the first phase of apartments at St Paul’s Square, as they were very popular with young professionals. With brilliant transport connections all over London, nearby open green space and affordability through the London Help to Buy Scheme, the homes at Le Mare Terrace will no doubt prove attractive to those looking to find their feet on the property ladder and invest in this trendy area of East London”.

The Le Mare Terrace apartments boast a high specification, each featuring its own balcony for residents to soak up East London bohemian’s vibes.  The homes have been intelligently designed in order to maximise light and space. The contemporary stone grey fitted kitchens feature stone worktops with matching upstand and splashback and a brushed steel single electric oven and microwave oven. Kitchens also boast integrated features such as their own A+ rated fridge, freezer and dishwasher, as well as a free standing washer/dryer. The master bedroom boasts fitted wardrobes, with its own en-suite featuring white sanitaryware with contemporary chrome accessories and ceramic tiles to walls and floors.

Situated within desirable zone 2, busy city workers will find St Paul’s Square perfectly located just over a mile from Canary Wharf and also within easy access of excellent transport links for commuting in and around London. Mile End underground station is less than a mile away, located on the Central, Hammersmith & City and District lines. Liverpool Street is a short five minute tube journey away, whilst Oxford Circus can be reached in less than 15 minutes.

Whilst enjoying the benefits of a well-connected location within the capital, unlike other London areas, residents of St Paul’s Square will not have to compromise on open green space. Mile End Park is also within short walking distance and provides the perfect escape from city life among its 79 acres of green space to explore. In addition, for those looking to work up a sweat, Mile End Park Leisure Centre and Stadium is less than a ten minute walk from St Paul’s Square, offering a range of facilities including a gym, athletics stadium, swimming pools, outdoor pitches, sports halls and a health suite.

Well known for its quirky cafés, restaurants and a dynamic night life, Bow is popular among young professionals looking for an exciting up and coming area to call home. Professionals seeking this lively social scene will find themselves caught within all the action in Bow.

Prices for a one bedroom apartment start from £420,000 and from £492,500 for a two bedroom home in the Le Mare Terrace. Selected properties are available with the London Help to Buy Scheme. The marketing suite and show homes are open seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm, for more information and to register your interest, please call 07900 769 752, email stpaulssquare@cpplc.com or visit www.countryside-properties.com.
