A recent survey conducted by Zoopla has found that 44 per cent of people living in Britain favour a modern style of home compared to just 8 per cent of people lusting after a Victorian period property*. Combining unique contemporary architecture and sustainable design perfectly, award-winning developer, Countryside, has opened a brand new show home at its Kings Park development in Harold Wood, Essex.

Kings Park Creates the Wow Factor with New Show Home

Kings Park is an exclusive collection of luxury family houses and contemporary apartments in an exceptional parkland setting. The latest phase, Crown Mews, consists of the Windsor Apartments and Chatsworth Mews, a collection of one and two bedroom apartments, as well as 52 contemporary three and four bedroom houses – the last houses to be built on this popular development.  Abode Interiors have designed the Rosenberg show home interior.

Jon Pilling, Design Director at Abode Interiors, comments: “Prior to designing the interior of the showhome at Kings Park, I had a walk around the entire development as I wanted to see if I could pull some inspiration from the Rosenberg’s surroundings. With the train station so close by, I imagined that Kings Park was suited to all working professionals – those with families, in a couple, or on their own. With this in mind, I wanted to create an interior that was the ultimate retreat, where owners could wow their friends and relatives that came to visit.”

The Rosenberg is a four bedroom family townhouse, which offers a spacious open plan kitchen/dining/family area on the ground floor, while the first floor plays host to a large living room, the guest bedroom, bathroom and master bedroom. Boasting fitted wardrobes and a luxury en suite bathroom, the master bedroom also benefits from a glazed feature window. Two further double bedrooms and an additional bathroom can be found on the second floor.

Commenting on the master bedroom, Jon says: “We wanted to create a private retreat that buyers could relax in after a long, busy day. The bed features a floor to ceiling bespoke headboard in ivory linen, which shows off the height of the room perfectly, while both curtains and sheers have been used to give a luxury hotel feel.”

The surrounding area to Kings Park boasts a wide range of amenities including a Post Office, supermarket, travel agent, several hairdressers, a bakery and a restaurant. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the abundance of countryside, woodland and parks including Harold Wood Park, which offers not only woodland and open areas but also a range of sports facilities.

From neighbouring Harold Wood train station, which is soon to be a stop on the Elizabeth Line in 2019, residents of Kings Park are just a 35-minute train journey from London Liverpool Street.

Prices for the four bedroom Rosenberg house design ranges from £649,995 to £675,000. For more information please visit www.kings-park.co.uk or call the sales team on 01708 348 578.
