MAYOR’S SEAL OF APPROVAL FOR FORMER RUNWELL HOSPITAL DEVELOPMENT

To celebrate the progress of St Luke’s Park, a new homes development in Runwell, Essex by Countryside in partnership with the Homes & Communities Agency (HCA), the Mayor of Chelmsford, Councillor Patricia Hughes recently visited the development for an exclusive preview of the new show homes, due to launch soon.

Mayor’s Seal of Approval for Former Runwell Hospital Development

Accompanied by representatives from Countryside and the HCA, the Mayor was taken on a tour of the popular new homes development.  In April this year, the first phase of the scheme launched attracting record levels of interest and demand from home buyers. Since then momentum has continued at a pace to push on with the 575 new energy-efficient homes set within the site’s 200 acres of mature landscaped grounds. 

On her visit, the Mayor of Chelmsford Councillor Patricia Hughes commented: “I am delighted to have been invited to meet with all those involved in the site and learn about the vision for this exciting project which is incredibly impressive and something the entire community can be proud of. Together, Countryside and the Homes and Community Agency have started to lay the foundations for a vibrant, valuable and integrated community, and a place people will be proud to call home for years to come.”

The show homes will be opened to the public in late July and include The Chestnut, an attractive five bedroom house with stylish kitchen, family/dining area with a separate formal living room opening onto the garden and the Mulberry, a luxurious five bedroom detached home with a generous master bedroom complete with fitted wardrobes and luxurious en suite.  The Spruce, a stylish four bedroom detached home, which offers a well equipped kitchen opening onto a light filled family dining area will also be available to view.  A further two show homes are set to open later in the year.                                                                                         

Residents at St Luke’s Park will be able to benefit from a wealth of amenities, including natural woodland walkways, a sensory landscape designed garden, a proposed new primary school and sympathetically restored Grade II Listed chapel; together with 2,800 sqm of commercial space including shops and a community centre.
