COUNTRYSIDE DONATES TO OUTSTANDING SCARECROWS IN THE CHIGNALS & MASHBURY

A community group in the Chignals and Mashbury was the grateful recipient of prizes donated by award winning developer Countryside for its unique Scarecrow competition, which culminated in a judging ceremony at a special birthday themed event on Sunday 12th June 2016 in honour of the 90th birthday of Her Majesty The Queen.

The developer, whose connection with the villages was formed with the creation of its popular Little Hollows development, donated wine, chocolates, sweets and rosettes for the winners of the competition which saw villagers competing to create the best scarecrows under the theme of “a right royal knees up”.

This is just one of the events that the village hall committee arrange annually to raise funds for its ongoing maintenance.
