Home builder Countryside has started construction work on the latest phase of homes at Springhead Park in Ebbsfleet Valley. Work is under way to create 123 new homes, of which 25 per cent will be affordable housing, at the development in Northfleet, which forms the first major part of Ebbsfleet Garden City.

Garden City Homes Under Construction

Springhead Park is designed as a modern take on the traditional village, offering a choice of well-designed homes set in landscaped spaces. The new phase will include a wide range of house designs from two bedroom maisonettes to two, three and four bedroom houses; suiting a range of home buyers and lifestyles. Each home is designed to offer light and airy interior accommodation to maximise space, along with the high standards of specification that Countryside is known for.

Iain McPherson, Managing Director of New Homes and Communities South at Countryside, comments: “We are pleased to say that work is under way to build the next phase at Springhead Park and we anticipate these homes will be available to buyers this summer. We are proud to be leading the way in the delivery of Ebbsfleet Garden City, creating much needed new housing for North Kent and shaping a city of the future.”

With the Government pledging £310 million toward the creation of Ebbsfleet Garden City in the Autumn Statement, the area is earmarked for 15,000 new homes due to be built in a series of sustainable, mixed-use communities. The Government funding will contribute towards investment in infrastructure, employment opportunities, affordable housing and additional services such as high speed broadband.

Countryside prides itself on creating communities of lasting quality, excellent charismatic design, good transport links and amenities, and high quality homes that suit people’s lifestyles. Countryside has already completed the earlier phase of homes at Springhead Park, including community facilities such as the Eastgate Centre, which provides a place for residents to meet and hold events.

Springhead Park benefits from a highly convenient and well connected location just over a mile from Ebbsfleet International Station, from where high-speed train services provide fast and frequent links to Stratford in just 12 minutes, St Pancras in 19 minutes and Paris in two hours. Bluewater is on the

doorstep for a fantastic shopping and leisure experience and the superb network of roads, including the nearby A2, connects the area to London and the rest of the country via the M25.

The new phase at Springfield Park will be launched for sale this summer. For further information on Springhead Park and to register interest in the homes, visit www.countryside-properties.com
