The majority of people across the nation still aspire to owning their own home, new research has found. Some 72% of adults want to be homeowners in two years’ time, according to the research from the Council of Mortgage Lenders as part of its long running series on attitudes to housing.*

Buying Your Own Home Could Be Easier than You Think at St Paul’s Square

Those who are looking for an easier way to fly the nest in London can do so through the London Help to Buy scheme at Countryside’s newly launched Annesley apartments at St Paul’s Square, Bow, E3.  This allows buyers to purchase with as little as a 5% deposit, the Government will then provide an equity loan of up to 40% of the property’s value, which is interest free for the first five years.

The Annesley apartments comprise one, two, three and four bedroom contemporary apartments at St Paul’s Square. Located in trendy Bow, East London, each home boasts its own private outside space and has been designed to accommodate the modern lifestyle.

Andrew Loveday, Sales Director at Countryside comments: “Help to Buy is offering the chance for Londoners to jump on the housing ladder without having to move further out of the capital. Bow is an exciting area with a lot of scope for development and regeneration in the future. The last phase of apartments was very popular, so we expect the same level of success in this next phase at St Paul’s Square. To avoid disappointment, we advise registering interest as soon as possible.”

All of the Annesley apartments are built to a high specification, exuding style and comfort. The kitchen, living and dining areas are open plan, creating a flexible living space which has been thoughtfully designed to take advantage of natural light. Each apartment also benefits from its own terrace or balcony, with apartments on higher levels enjoying views of London all year round.

Kitchens have been fitted with contemporary stone grey units featuring a handleless gloss base and reconstituted stone worktops. Appliances are fully integrated including an electric oven and microwave, extractor hood, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and free standing washer/dryer in the hall cupboard. Bathrooms are sleek with white sanitaryware featuring chrome accessories, a white bath and a thermostatic shower in en suites.

Unlike other areas of London, residents of St Paul’s Square will not have to compromise on open green space. Mile End Park is within short walking distance and provides the perfect escape from city life with 79 acres of green space to explore. In addition, for those looking to work up a sweat, Mile End Park Leisure Centre and Stadium is less than a 10 minute walk from St Paul’s Square, offering a range of facilities including a gym, athletics stadium, swimming pools, outdoor pitches, sports halls and a health suite.

St Paul’s Square is perfectly located just over a mile from Canary Wharf and also within easy access of excellent transport links for commuting in and around London. Mile End underground station is less than a mile away, located on the Central, Hammersmith & City and District lines. Liverpool Street is a short five minute tube journey away, whilst Oxford Circus can be reached in less than 15 minutes.

Prices for a two bedroom apartment at St Paul’s Square start from £470,000 and are available with the London Help to Buy Scheme. The marketing suite and show homes are open seven days a week from 10am to 5pm.
