As a local company with headquarters in Brentwood, Countryside has had its roots in Essex for over 55 years. We are passionate about creating places with a strong sense of belonging and where people aspire to live, which is why we continue to support our local communities and the unsung heroes and not-for-profit organisations that often go unnoticed.
The Heart of Essex Awards were presented at an inspiring ceremony at Hylands House in Chelmsford on Tuesday 11th October 2016, where I was lucky enough to present our chosen award and a £1,000 cheque to Frontline Partnership, which enables and supports people with learning disabilities to live full and productive lives through their involvement and contribution to the Brentwood community.
Frontline will use the prize money to contribute to projects that develop and enhance practical and social skills that re-define people as active participants in the community, rather than passive recipients of care.
Other winners included Chelmsford Community Transport who were chosen by Chelmsford City Council and Bourne Tree Field Nursery who were chosen by Anglia Ruskin University.
Louisa Ball, Violet Pace and Tony Groves are three amazing volunteers who were each presented with individual prizes from Jill Turner from Chelmsford City Racecourse, for their hard work and dedication to respectively The Samaritans, Haven House and Chelmsford Community Transport.
We are very pleased to support highly deserving local charities through the Heart of Essex awards. We would like to congratulate and thank all of the winners and nominees for their constant commitment and hard work that they undertake every day of the year. They undoubtedly make our community a better place to live in.
