Moving home can sometimes prove challenging for existing homeowners. As property chains form, the chances of a broken link unfortunately increase, which can cause uncertainty. At Countryside, we offer multiple schemes that are available on selected properties to ensure that our buyers’ move is as smooth as possible. After all, moving house is an exciting moment and stressful emotions shouldn’t overpower the positive ones!

6 Top House Buying Schemes for a Smooth Move - by Andrew Loveday

Part Exchange
Our Part Exchange service has helped many of our home buyers secure their dream home. It involves selling your home directly to the property developer, eliminating the hefty estate agent fees and the unnerving thought of the chain collapsing as you’ll have a guaranteed buyer. The scheme also enables buyers to stay in their current property right up until their new property is ready to move into! If you are looking to use Part Exchange to sell your current property, our developments Little Hollows, Beaulieu Chase and Beaulieu Heath in Chelmsford offer a selection of four and five bedroom homes available to purchase with the scheme.

Help to Buy
The Government Help to Buy Scheme allows purchasers to buy their home with as little as a five per cent deposit! Once you have your deposit ready, you could receive a Government equity loan of up to 20 per cent of the purchase price or up to 40 per cent in Greater London on homes up to £600,000. To help make your monthly mortgage repayments more affordable, the loan is interest free for the first five years. One of our current sites that offers Help to Buy on all properties is Willow Grange in Coxheath, Kent. Remember, Help to Buy is not just for First Time Buyers!

Bank of Mum and Dad
If you have a family member that wants to help contribute towards your new home by paying for your deposit, our Bank of Mum and Dad scheme is the perfect way to thank them! All that is required is proof of your parents / family member’s contribution and we will give them £2,000 for their generosity! The Bank of Mum and Dad Scheme is available at East City Point in Canning Town, London.

Assisted Move
Assisted Move gives buyers a helping hand when selling their property. It involves the developer instructing two selling agents on the buyer’s behalf and pays their fees when it’s sold.

Chain Break
Although there are times when things don’t always go to plan during your move, there are schemes in place to prevent a break in your property chain ruining your chances of moving. At Countryside, we offer a Chain Break service, which involves the developer buying a house further down the chain to facilitate the purchase of your new home.

Let to Buy
By choosing the Let to Buy route, you can keep your current home and purchase a new one. Letting your old home is a good investment opportunity and the rental income can contribute towards your new mortgage.

If you are looking to move home, we have an experienced team that is trained to do everything they can to help you move and to take the worry out of the process. Come and visit us at our developments across London and the rest of the UK and see which scheme would be most suitable to help you get moving into your dream home!
