Research conducted by the World Health Organisation shows close access to green spaces offers a range of health benefits, including increased relaxation, a reduction in stress and increased physical activity. Countryside’s Kings Park development in Harold Wood, Essex, offers exclusive apartments surrounded by tree-lined avenues, woodland and a range of parks, that are available through the popular Help to Buy London scheme.

Homes Near Green Space, a Healthy Choice for Essex Residents

The recently launched Allerton Apartments at Kings Park comprise contemporary one and two-bedroom apartments built to an impressive specification. Each property features a balcony or terrace, ensuring home owners can make the most of the outdoor life, as well as allowing the homes to be flooded with natural light.

Nearby Harold Wood Park features a range of footpaths and sports facilities, including tennis courts, and an outdoor gym. Connecting Pages Wood offers an ideal escape, with meadows and woodland scattered throughout this impressive piece of British countryside. Bedford’s Park is just three miles away, boasting impressive views over London and Kent, and the addition of Red Deer is always a popular attraction on morning walks.

David Everett, Managing Director of Countryside’s New Homes and Communities Central region comments: “Many homebuyers are looking for the perfect balance between proximity to green spaces and access to London. Kings Park offers both of these, with nearby parkland to explore and direct connections to London by train, which was reflected in the sales success of the previous phase, the Eastwell Apartments. These apartments sold out much faster than expected, resulting in the early release of the Allerton Apartments.”

The Allerton Apartments are a prime example of the thoughtfully designed properties which are available at Kings Park. The spacious open-plan kitchen/dining area offers the ideal space to entertain guests, and the living area opens out onto the balcony.  The two-bedroom apartments include a master bedroom with fitted wardrobes and a luxurious en suite, whilst the second double bedroom has access to the larger family bathroom.

All the homes are designed with modern living in mind. Kitchens feature gloss white units, stone worktops and ceramic tiling throughout. Bathrooms offer stylish white sanitary-ware and chrome accessories, offset by warming oak detailing throughout.

A range of local amenities are available within walking distance from Kings Park, including a Post Office, supermarket, travel agent, several hairdressers and a bakery. Nearby Brentwood is home to many bars and restaurants, alongside all the well-known high-street brands and a variety of independent boutiques. Nearby The Brewery and The Liberty shopping centres are located just three miles away, offering over 100 shops, ripe for exploration.

Harold Wood Station is just a five-minute walk from Kings Park and residents will be able to access the Crossrail’s Elizabeth Line, which will decrease journey times into central London by up to 19 minutes and will offer direct and stress-free commutes into London from 2019. In addition to superb rail services, Kings Park is near to the A12, A127 and M25 for fast connections to London, Kent and further afield, whilst easy access to the M11 is convenient for travel through Essex and Hertfordshire to Cambridge.
