A photo booth was provided by us for the public to remember the day, and a range of local and national businesses provided donations to support the event. With beautiful parks and the River Thames on your doorstep, GMV has taken its name to heart, and the sense of community could not be stronger. As you walk through Greenwich Millennium Village (GMV), just a fifteen minute walk from North Greenwich station, you’d be forgiven for forgetting you’re in central London, and Saturday’s event made the most of its community.
Word spread quickly and as the final musician performed their last song, nearly 500 members of the public had showed up to enjoy the atmosphere. Bringing a picnic was widely encouraged, and with plenty of space to go around, many set up base camps with friends and family whilst keeping an eye on the kids and enjoying the local musicians.
The event included an array of games and activities to keep the kids entertained, including a bouncy castle, volleyball and a city farm. As a way to remember this wonderful day out with friends and family, locals flocked to the photo booth, specially donated for the event by GMV. As the evening progressed, there was a more adult focus, where adults enjoyed a glass of wine or beer and had a wonder around the huge range of stalls available.
It was a fantastic day, with fun and games for all the family and local musicians playing well into the night. With a fantastic variety of local wares on offer at stalls, the GMV Residents Association really did covered everything. Watching the sun set over London surrounded by friends and family, in the centre of one of London’s most vibrant communities, was a very special occasion indeed.
GMV is a proud sponsor of the GMV Summer Fayre 2017, having made a contribution and providing the photo booth.
GMV is a regeneration of 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments and luxury 3 bedroom Uberhaus in the heart of Greenwich. Find out more about GMV and the properties available on our website.
