Multi-generational living is on the up with half a million more 25 to 34 years olds expected to still live at home with their parents over the next 10 years, according to research by Aviva.

The insurance firm researched data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and found the number of young people still living at home had risen by 37% in the last 10 years, from 903,000 to 1.23 million. With this figure set to rise, parents will be looking for homes big enough for their family. The townhouses at Countryside Annington’s development The Mount, in Mill Hill, NW7, are perfect for those who need plenty of space.  Set over four floors, the homes offer open plan kitchen dining areas to spend time as a family, as well as a spacious top floor master suites and terraces, for time apart.

The Mount is situated in one of the most desirable areas of North London, within the popular Millbrook Park neighbourhood. Set in an elevated position with sweeping views, the homes offer scenic views from private terraces, communal green areas, landscaped courtyards and two new parks.

The Novita house type has a three-bedroom layout, with the ground floor catering for all the family’s practical needs with storage, utility room, bins and double garage. Its kitchen/living/dining area is on the first floor with two double French doors leading out to a patio and enclosed garden, with a balcony to the front of the property. While two large bedrooms and a study occupy the second floor it is the third floor master bedroom that is its most remarkable feature. Its crowning glory includes its own spacious roof terrace, providing a private place for parents to get a bit of peace and quiet. It also features a luxurious en suite bathroom, as well as fitted wardrobes and a contemporary Juliette balcony to the front, creating a light-filled space.

David Everett, Managing Director of Countryside Annington comments: “Family homes are changing, with many young people staying with their parents for many more years, so at The Mount we wanted to ensure our family homes offered space to ensure everyone can get some downtime.  A family could easily live here in luxury and not feel on top of each other. With only a few townhouses left at The Mount, families looking to move should come and view the show home now to see just how much space there is.”

The three and four-bedroom townhouses offer spacious luxury, each featuring enclosed private outdoor space, light and airy open-plan living areas and an integrated garage. Each house features sleek kitchens with white gloss surfaces and fully integrated appliances, contemporary bathrooms and flooring is included throughout.
