Offering imaginative new homes in Cambridge just minutes from Cambridge city centre, Great Kneighton is an exceptional new development.
The new Hobson’s Park at Great Kneighton stretches over 120 acres. Already, the park has lots of woodland, four ponds, one of which is a 50,000 sq m bird reserve, allotments, playing fields for the new secondary school and will have a range of adventure play areas and a skate park for younger residents.
As well as proving popular with an extensive array of birds, the park has also welcomed some unexpected residents. Recently, otters were spotted living on Hobson’s Brook in the heart of the Park and last summer, bats were widely seen after the installation of a number of bat boxes.
The education at Great Kneighton also gets top marks. A brand new secondary school, Trumpington Community College, opened its doors to Year 7 and 8 pupils at Great Kneighton in September 2016. The state-of-the-art facility has space to accommodate 750 students and is Cambridge's first new 11–16 secondary school for half a century! There is also a new primary school scheduled to open to pupils in September 2017.
An attractive central square will host essential facilities and services including a new community centre, library, shops, offices and transport hub. Great Kneighton is an exciting development of 2,550 Cambridge homes surrounded by a growing community.
Beaulieu in Chelmsford benefits from a landscape led approach, with a series of distinctly designed neighbourhoods providing 3,600 new homes. An extensive range of community facilities, including two proposed primary schools and a secondary school, shops, formal and informal parks and a neighbourhood centre, provide the new residents with everything they need on the doorstep.
The new Beaulieu Community Centre is ideally located within the Beaulieu Square Neighbourhood Centre which will feature five striking buildings around a central landscaped square. Bright Horizons Day Nursery and a Sainsbury’s Local store, a range of retail outlets, a restaurant, and a health centre will also take residence at Beaulieu Square, perfect for young families joining the neighbourhood.
Residents, along with the wider community, will also be able to get involved with a range of activities at the Beaulieu Community Centre. This will be one of the largest spaces available for hire in the local area, allowing both the new residents of Beaulieu and the existing community to come together to enjoy the space.
