We believe that the achievements of the many employees who have started their career with us through the graduate scheme is a real testament to the rewarding and comprehensive programme we offer.
We aim to provide our applicants with as much industry experience as possible over the two-year scheme. Everyone will have the opportunity to see the whole housebuilding process from start to finish, by completing a total of six rotations through each of our different divisions. At the end of the programme, our graduates can choose a role that best suits them.
Our typical annual intake is between 12 and 15 graduates, and usually the schemes starts in October, however, we often bring graduates in earlier to gain additional experience if they are available. We have two choices of programmes on offer - Construction and Generalist.
The Construction Programme is for trainees who have decided that they would like to pursue a career as part of a Site Management team. They will also gain experience in a number of other core areas, in order to secure broad knowledge of other divisions and departments. Our Construction Graduates are based in our Partnerships North region, working on sites across Liverpool and Manchester.
The Generalist Programme is designed for those trainees who would like to experience many different aspects of our business before deciding on a career path. The scheme comprises a series of rotational placements, spending between 4 and 12 weeks in various departments of the business, across a two-year period. This scheme is also suitable for Graduates that may not have a relevant degree but are passionate about a career in Construction. Our Generalist Graduates are able to be based from either of our Brentwood Offices, Sevenoaks, or Acton, West London.
If you are thinking about applying for a Graduate Scheme at Countryside, we will be following the journeys of three of our new Graduates who have joined recently joined the team, to give more insight to the scheme, and so they can share what they are learning and how they are progressing. Matt, Guy and Christina will be sharing their personal experiences throughout their time with us, and will be giving details of the past, current and future projects that they will be working on.
Applications for our 2018 scheme open on 1st November 2017 and close on 1st January 2018. Please see our Graduate Programme page for more information on applying. You can also follow us on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter for regular updates. We would like to wish our future applicants the best of luck, and we look forward to seeing you in the New Year.
