Our new development is situated in the market town of Shifnal, boasting our latest collection of must-see three and four-bedroom homes. Whether you choose detached or semi-detached, each is light, bright and spacious with the latest features and highest specification throughout. The location is well connected, with a good range of upmarket shops, cafes and restaurants. It’s no surprise that the leafy suburb of Shifnal is sought after by many families.
Steeped in history and with a brook running through it, Shifnal has always been a picturesque town. In fact, many of its fine buildings are thought to have been the inspiration behind those described in Charles Dickens’ classic, The Old Curiosity Shop.
Shifnal town centre plays host to an annual festival, boutiques, antique sellers, cafes, bars, restaurants, a Post Office and a well-known convenience store. The railway station, opened in 1849, connects you to Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton. And thankfully, the trains are a lot faster, than in Dickens’ day!
Surrounded by countryside, Stanton Road’s rural setting is great for families that like to get out and about. If you’re a keen golfer you’ll be delighted to know that Shifnal has an 18-hole members’ course set in the grounds of a beautiful Georgian Country house.
Further afield – just five miles away – is Telford, a lively town with lots to see and do.
For a rural setting, Stanton Road is surprisingly well connected. Shifnal’s train station is just two miles from your doorstep. It offers regular connections to the lively town of Telford and Shrewsbury with its beautiful castle and fine Tudor buildings. Trains from Shifnal will also take you to the cities of Wolverhampton and Birmingham in less than an hour.
If you’re driving, the M54 is easy to access - just two and a half miles away – and you can be in Telford in ten minutes, Wolverhampton in less than half an hour and Birmingham in around forty minutes. The M54 merges with the M6, with links to both The North and The South.
Stanton Road is situated within walking distance of a number of schools such as Shifnal Primary and St Andrew’s CofE Primary School. For older children there is Idsall Secondary School, all of which are Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ and less than a mile away from Stanton Road.
While there’s no shortage of things to do in Shifnal, move to Stanton Road, and you’ll also find yourself regularly drawn to Telford, which is just five miles away. This bustling town – much larger than Shifnal – has a brand new £250m shopping centre, featuring an eleven-screen cinema. There’s also a retail park with two supermarkets and lots of well-known retailers. For ‘foodies’ there are plenty of great restaurants to choose from. As well as providing children with endless entertainment at the town’s ice rink, and also its park, where you’ll find a fantastic play area, visitor’s centre, water-play, sports pitches, outdoor amphitheatre, nature trails and woodland walks.
