Our homes are built to National House-Building Council (NHBC) standards, the technical benchmark for all newly-built homes. The standards provide guidance on every part of the building process from foundations to decoration including tolerances, performance and technical standards. To find out more visit Technical Standards on the NHBC website.
We also carry the NHBC Warranty (Buildmark) against structural defects for a 10-year period following the date of legal completion. Further information can be found on the What Does Buildmark Cover? section on the NHBC website.
Your interests are additionally covered by the Consumer Code for Home Builders which we adhere to. Please visit our Consumer Code page for further information on the Code, which gives protection and rights to purchasers of new homes.
On some developments we have a Local Authority or Zurich Building Warranty instead of the NHBC. The warranties are similar in nature and provide a guarantee that runs for a 10-year period* to cover you against any major structural damage to your home.
Countryside donates £10.00 to the Make a Wish foundation for every NHBC Customer Survey that is completed and returned to the NHBC by our new homeowners.
The Make a Wish foundation grants magical wishes to enrich the lives of children fighting life threatening conditions and since 1986 the foundation has granted 9,000 wishes. For further information on Make a Wish, please visit the Make a Wish website.
